Baha’i community co-sponsors Vancouver public event on reconciliation and the transformation of society

The Baha’i Community of Canada and Reconciliation Canada will host a panel discussion on “Reconciliation and the Transformation of Society” at the Vancouver Baha’i Centre, the evening of September 13.

The event aims to contribute to the public conversation about truth, justice, and the process of reconciliation between Indigenous peoples and Canada. Speakers will share their reflections on the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the process of reconciliation. The submission of the Baha’i Community of Canada to the Commission will also be discussed.

Speakers at the event include Dr. Robert Joseph (Hereditary Chief of Gwawaenuk First Nation, and Ambassador for Reconciliation Canada); Dr. Paulette Regan (Director of Research, Truth and Reconciliation Commission); and Chief Doug White (of the Snuneymuxw First Nation).
